Military Veterans Featured on BFBS Radio

At the end of September we were happy to host a team from the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) who spent the day interviewing some of our military veterans at HQ South in Kidlington before heading over to Maidenhead to meet some of our officers and experiencing a ride along with one of our ICR teams.

BFBS Interview

The series looked at officer’s experiences moving from military service and into policing, examining the important work carried out by Thames Valley Police, and offering an insight into what a career in policing can offer anyone leaving the armed forces.

If you missed the interviews as they were broadcast, you can listen to the whole series by visiting the BFBS website.

At Thames Valley Police we are proud to hold the Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award, as well as further supporting our veterans by offering resettlement payments of up to £2,500 for those switching from a military uniform into a police one.
