Celebrating Buckinghamshire’s Unsung Heroes

Last weekend, courage and kindness were in full bloom at Buckinghamshire.

On Saturday, 28 June, our Buckinghamshire Local Command Unit (LCU) Commander, Chief Superintendent Emma Burroughs, was honoured to represent our dedicated officers and staff at a garden party hosted by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Countess Howe Elizabeth Helen Curzon.

The event recognised the county’s unsung heroes, those who go above and beyond to improve the lives of others in our communities.

After a busy few weeks across the LCU, the celebration was a welcome opportunity to pause and reflect on how our work is appreciated and how it truly makes a difference.

Emma said:

“It was a real honour to attend and hear about the amazing work taking place across Buckinghamshire. I’m incredibly proud of our officers, staff, and cadets- your hard work, professionalism, and commitment do not go unnoticed. A huge thank you to our cadets and their brilliant leaders for supporting the event so professionally.”

The event was a strong reminder of how vital partnership working is in keeping our communities safe.

Thank you to His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire for hosting such an inspiring event, and to our teams for everything you do, every single day.

We currently have openings for Volunteer Cadet Leaders. If you’re passionate about mentoring young people and making a difference, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved. Visit our TVP Careers website to apply.
