Thames Valley Police Local Command Units
Today we are working in a more complex environment, with a rise in recent years in digital crime and increasingly harmful and complex offences such as child sexual exploitation and county drugs lines.
Following research and engagements with our officers, staff, partner organisations and communities, our force has recently changed its structure to a five-area command model, to be called Local Command Units (LCUs).

The five local command units (LCUs) are:
Oxfordshire with police stations in: Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Cowley, Didcot, Witney.
Buckinghamshire with police stations in: Amersham, Aylesbury, High Wycombe.
Milton Keynes with police stations in: Milton Keynes.
Berkshire East with police stations in: Bracknell, Maidenhead, Slough.
Berkshire West with police stations in: Loddon Valley, Newbury, Reading.
Our LCU structure includes Incident and Crime Response (ICR) Teams, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Priority Crime Teams (PCT), Harm Reduction Units (HRU) and Neighbourhood Teams.
New officers are posted to a main station within one of our LCUs.
