Meet Robert – Front Counter Volunteer

I work alongside Police Contact Enquiry Officers providing an effective Front Counter Service to the public, police officers and staff.

On the front counter I can be the first point of contact for the public and external agencies within Thames Valley Police. Security of the building is maintained ensuring only appropriate and authorised personal have access – so reducing the risk of security breaches. I give advice and take appropriate action, being accountable for getting it right first time and managing the reporting of people’s expectations regarding the service provided.

I help manage people signing on for Court and Police Bail and identify breach of bail conditions ensuring legal documentation is completed. Additionally I maintain the receipt, audit trail, storage and return of property to our internal and external customers in accordance with TVP property policies.
